Any reference to Kingdom Worker Ministries or KWM within the context of this Donor Privacy Policy is intended and shall be considered to be inclusive of each and all entities operated by Kingdom Worker Ministries.
DONOR PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT
Kingdom Worker Ministries (KWM) is committed to respecting the privacy rights of all donors who make online donations, who mail financial donations, and those who give material donations. We are committed to protecting and properly handling your private and personal information. Our Donor Privacy Policy guides our staff on how they may use a donor’s personal information while honoring your rights as a donor. The following outlines our Donor Privacy Policy and details the measures we have taken to safeguard and protect your privacy as donors. Information you provide to us is understood to be in agreement with the policies detailed below. This policy applies to all information received by KWM, both online and offline, on any of our Platforms, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. We will not sell, rent, share, trade or transfer our donor’s names or personal information with any other entity or outside organizations nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. To the extent any dontations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors' information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
Intuit QuickBooks Online Terms of Service Updates: We use Intuit QuickBooks Online who has added a QuickBooks Online Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”) for US and Canada customers, which clarifies each of our roles in data processing pursuant to the DPA. They have added a new business term - Business Connection Data - to their Intuit Global Privacy Statementntuit Global Privacy Statement, QuickBooks Online Terms of Service (US and Canada), and QuickBooks Online Data Processing Agreement (US and Canada). This term defines how they process the personal information of a customer, vendor, or prospect of an Intuit customer on the Intuit Platform, or whose personal information resides in the Intuit Platform and is not a direct Intuit customer. It explains how Intuit may use this data in support of their products and services for their customers. Some services may be subject to a separate DPA or processing terms, as specified in any service-specific terms. There will be instances in which Intuit will process Business Connection Data as a data controller for certain limited purposes, including for example, in relation to their product development and improvement, data analytics, and fraud prevention and security. In those cases, the terms of their Global Privacy Statement govern their processing of Business Connection Data. In all other instances, as further set forth in the DPA, they act as our processor or service provider of Business Connection Data. If we acquire personal information of other Intuit customers as part of their B2B Network, they will process that information as Business Connection Data.
SECTION 1 — PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- KWM collects and stores your personal identifiable information collected when you make an online donation, sign up for a recurring credit card or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) gift on any of our Platforms. This information may include:
- contact information such as name, organization/company, mailing address, telephone number, email address;
- donation information such as amounts donated, date of donation(s), payment method;
- your requests and comments;
- information gathered from database modeling firms;
- non-personally identifiable information, such as how many hits each Platform (website) page recieves; and
- if the visitor is repeat or new (which requires that a “cookie” be sent to your web browser).
We collect and store your personal identifiable information when you pledge money as a donation. We request certain personally identifiable information, which may includes:
- contact information such as name, organization/company, billing address, mailing address, telephone number, email address;
- financial information such as credit card number, expiration date, and the Card Verification Value (CVV). This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill donations. Credit card information is only used for specific or pre-authorized recurring transaction(s) and is then properly destroyed. Consequently, if we have trouble processing a donation, we will use this information to contact the donor.
In addition, a record is kept of each donor’s giving history. Donor information is stored in a donor management database. Access to the database is restricted to personnel with legitimate business need to access or modify the information contained therein. This information is kept on file for IRS purposes and is also used for gift acknowledgment and mailing lists.
SECTION 2 — WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Your personal information is used to maintain records of and to process donations. It is also used to print receipts, send out acknowledgements, and/or to mail year-end tax statements. If your donation is designated to a particular department, project, and/or one of the outreach ministries, your contact information and donation amount is given to the management of the designated department, project, and/or outreach ministries receiving the gift. These department and/or outreach ministry managers may communicate with you via the email address you provided during the donation. Our third-party donation collection services are is contractually obligated to treat the lists with confidentiality and is prohibited from transferring them elsewhere. Our website has an SSL certificate.
We may also use your data to send newsletters, notices and direct mail pieces, and for internal marketing purposes. We do not list individuals’ names in any of our publications. Corporate and Foundation sponsors may be listed in our Annual Report and event programs. We normally add you to our mailing list, unless you request otherwise. Our third-party mailing service is contractually obligated to treat the lists with confidentiality and is prohibited from transferring them elsewhere. Opt-out options are available at the bottom of every email or you can contact us directly if you wish to be removed from our mailing list (see Section 6 — Contacting Us).
SECTION 3 — HOW AND WHEN WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
KWM keeps your information as long as it is needed to achieve our purposes listed above, as well as for the amount of time necessary to meet any legal, tax, or reporting requirements. We will not sell, rent, share trade or transfer our donor’s names or personal information with any other entity or outside organizations nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
SECTION 4 — HOW DO WE SAFEGUARD YOU PERSONAL INFORMATION
KWM has implemented a number (variety) of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind a secure network and is only accessible by a limited number of employees who have special access rights. All sensitive/credit information supplied by you when making donations to our website is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. All of our service provider maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information, including the prompt disposal of all unnecessary customer information. Nevertheless, security measures may not prevent all losses, and KWM is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to security failures. We will not sell, rent, share trade or transfer our donor’s names or personal information with any other entity or outside organizations nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
SECTION 5 — DONOR PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you (by email or notice on this page) about changes in the way we treat your personal information and how those changes are likely to impact you. Please be aware that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, our use of personal information and other information is governed by the Donor Privacy Policy in effect at the time we collect the information.
